-
- The CHI-SIG is planning on focusing on Speech Technologies at the
- DECUS Atlanta Sympisia.
-
- If you would like to give a session there, please send a mail
- message to lisa@esl.com (Lisa Kerby-Rodgers) who is coordinating
- the focus stream.
-
- In addition, there is a panel planned that will deal with
- Voice/speech Tech. This is a chance for you to share your insights
- and horror/war stories with others so that they can learn from your
- experiences. I have, in the past, lead these discussions. They are
- done with three or four outlined questions presented to a panel of
- four or five "experts". Then there are questions taken from the
- floor.
-
- These have been very successful methods for presenting a variety of
- views on a topic that allow the audience to get a feel for problems
- and successes that are found by people working on diverse projects.
- All the base questions (the ones that are prepared) are sent to the
- panelists prior to the Symposia, so that thye can best answer them,
- and provide detailed information.
-
- If you are interested in being on the panel, please send a message
- to Lisa as well, indicating that you would like to participate (CC
- to ivler@ug.eds.com). I will contact all those interested in two to
- three months.
-
- Note: I will be away from 8-Jan-1993 - 9-Feb-1993. Therefore,
- please address all corrispondence to lisa@esl.com with a carbon
- copy to ivler@ug.eds.com.
-
- Thank you for your time, the CHI-SIG looks forward to hearing from
- you, and to your participation.
