- NF> I'm looking for people who have used Desqview with speech. Which
- NF> speech programs would you recommend? What are the pitfalls of using
- NF> Desqview with speech? Any suggestions for avoiding them?
-
- Nancy, I use Vocal-Eyes with Desqview. It works quite well
- with speech. A couple of issues to consider. First, to
- minimize computer lockups, it is advised that each widnow
- contain the speech package run. Most everyone I know who has
- used Desqview successfully with speech must load the speech
- program in each widnow. Secondly, for best results, set each
- screen to a full screen under Desqview. Third, you may need
- to check the settings of the IRQ's on the board you run,
- particularly if you wish to run programs at the same time.
- known as multitasking. It will take time to set up, but if
- you ar willing to take the time, it will likely be worth the
- effort. Les
