  26. hated the residential school with a passion unmatched by anything in my
  27. life since.  The problem was, by the time I got put in public school,
  28. the damage had been done, and I didn't fit in there either.  I think
  29. public school mainstreaming can work, if the child has the support of
  30. his family and his teachers.  If not, or if the child is by nature shy,
  31. it can be a disaster.
