- To answer with the best of my ability: 1) I have no clue what it was 'cause I
- didn't see the vehicles youre talking about. :(
-
- 2) I haven't heard anything about Congress having a special service for
- members only. If they do, they're definitely a private enterprise. I know that
- when the President's motorcade goes anywhere, there is a medic unit assigned
- to the motorcade. But, we had the opportunity to host Clinton last week for
- his diplomatic address and our squad did stand-by for the event. Of course,
- that's not to say the medics weren't around somewhere. I know they put the
- hospital on stand-by (we have a hospital on campus) and had the chiefs of the
- departments either be in the hospital or within a reasonable response area.
-
- I honestly can't imagine that anyone would order their medics not to come to
- the aid of a member of the public in distress. Wouldn't that be considered
- negligence? I'll try to find out more about the Congressional question for
- you.
