- My local VFD is poor enough to actually have a MARS light on the front of
- our class A pumper. It consists of a red light that is on steady, and
- describes a horizontal figure eight when the beam is viewed on a wall
- in front of it.
- BTW this is on a 1952 American LaFrance open top. Every time we take it
- in the local Independence Day parade, everyone thinks it's a restored
- pumper that we only take out for special occasions!
