- DS> I do have a question, though. Our Fire Brigade uses MT-
- DS>1000s and nobody has a manual (?!) so we don't know how to
- DS>use the SCAN feature. Can you help? Thanks.
-
- Hi David, the MT1000 is sometimes optioned with a scan position on the
- PL switch (top left on the radio). Depending on how it's programmed,
- throwing the switch far right will scan a programmed channel bank while
- at the same time prioritising the channel which was displayed before
- you
- switched to "scan". If the radio stops on a busy channel while
- scanning,
- you will hear it drop out briefly once every few seconds as it checks
- the priority channel. If it receives something on the priority channel
- it will "beep" and lock there until the traffic has stopped, and once
- again start scanning.
-
- Hope this is of assistance. The scan bank itself is a software
- configuration.
-
- Cheers,
- Ron.
