  14. My advice on buying MX portables - DON'T!  They are really an obsolete design.
  15. The MT1000/HT600 portables are generally less expensive to own, particularly if
  16. you need to change DP/DPL tones or frequencies.  You'll find that they are
  17. easier to get repaired, too.  We have a bunch of old 800MHz conventional 
  18. 5-channel MX's, but we've been buying the MT- radios for the past 3 years or
  19. so.  Much nicer radio - very flexible and easy to program.
