- My advice on buying MX portables - DON'T! They are really an obsolete design.
- The MT1000/HT600 portables are generally less expensive to own, particularly if
- you need to change DP/DPL tones or frequencies. You'll find that they are
- easier to get repaired, too. We have a bunch of old 800MHz conventional
- 5-channel MX's, but we've been buying the MT- radios for the past 3 years or
- so. Much nicer radio - very flexible and easy to program.
