  14. I have just begun an interview-based project to investigate why faculty
  15. members choose to leave the academic profession.  I am interested in
  16. faculty from all types of post-secondary institutions (i.e., community
  17. colleges, liberal arts colleges, comprehensive and/or research
  18. universities).  (I am not interested in individuals who have left "for
  19. cause".)

  21. If you know of individuals who have chosen to leave or have seriously
  22. considered leaving academe, or if you are in this situation, I would like
  23. to hear from you.  Confidentiality assured.  I anticipate that my findings
  24. will appear in the usual scholarly places, and (I hope) will ultimately
  25. appear in book form.
