- I do not know if the different numbering schemes mean anything. It
- might be to dissuade people from comparing models at discount shops and high
- end stores. For example, some of the VCRs that Panasonic sells have identical
- features but are labelled differently at a discount store and Macy's. Has
- anyone else noticed this ?
