- In my hometown of Hampton, Virginia, the local newspaper often
- contains ads stating
- Jay A. Smith is not responsible for the debts of Chris J. Smithers
-
- Why do these exist? Are these people fulfilling some legal requirement
- to notify potential creditors that they have stopped being responsible
- for the debts of a relative? Are they combatting fraud? It can't
- relate to the stolen wallet issue, because there are 2 names here. Virginia
- does not have community property, or common-law marriage.

- Q: How many user support people does it take to change a light bulb?
- A: We have an exact copy of the light bulb here and it seems to be
- working fine. Can you tell me what kind of system you have?
