- When I lived in Ma back in the early 80s, there was a big story on how the
- law authorizing the Mass Pike clearly stated that when the bonds that funded
- the Pike were paid back, the road was to be become a non-toll state highway.
- When that date was about to roll around (in the 80s) there was some quick
- action to change the law so they could keep it a toll road and collect all
- that money.
