  15. We never got one till last year. They definetely work. No assurance you
  16. won't get a ticket though. Locally, on sideroads here, the cops like to
  17. sit off to the side of the road.  When someone gets real close, they pop
  18. the old gun on. If you're a speerer, ever with a detector, you'r
  19. history. If you're okay, they turn it right off. This is what I believe
  20. they call instant on. The detector doesn't do any good as there is
  21. nothing to detect until it's too late.

  23. Of course, most folks here still flick their lights so you know what's
  24. coming. Also, the cops tend to use the same places over and over.....

  26. For long interstate trips, get a cheapie cb radio. Just listen to
  27. channel 19 or follow large trucks. Pretty safe.
