  31. Another factor is the number of significant digits of accuracy.
  32. The typical automotive speedometer is pretty coarse, particularly
  33. compared to the digital readout on a radar unit.  There are quite
  34. a few other factors such as tire size and pressure which can have
  35. an effect on the speedometer reading.

  37. Of course we can't expect anyone who watches pro football to
  38. understand measurment accuracy.  I always find it amusing to have
  39. them measure downs to inches when the placement of the ball is
  40. probably accurate to the nearest yard :-).
