  13. I just received a "pre-approved" offer in the mail for this. The
  14. variable rate is prime + 0.9% till 4/1/94, and then prime + 5.9%.
  15. It works out to 6.9% at current rates. The catch is that there is
  16. an annual fee of $18.

  18. I realize that I can save much more if I carry a large enough balance
  19. for a long enough time, but I normally don't do that. Would netters
  20. who have this card tell me whether Signet Bank waives its annual fee
  21. if requested? Any other comments from users of their card are also welcome.
  22. I have to reply by the 27th. of this month if I am to accept the offer.
