- creative and innovative people who should be paid for creating and innovating
- _new_programs_. Most of the work waiting to be done consists of supporting
- and maintaining _existing_ programs. That kind of work also requires creat-
- ivity, innovation, imagination - but does not produce the kind of art object
- which can be hung on the wall with a big sign saying "I made this!".

- C compilers. When GNU start to muscle in on the ISDN packet handler or
- automated directory assistance market just let me know, and I'll replan
- my career path accordingly.
