  11. I got no response from the sgi newsgroups, so I hope you will forgive me
  12. for reposting this here :-

  14.     I am having problems using the GNU Debugger 4.7 under IRIX 4.0.5F.
  15.     
  16.     I used 'configure mips-sgi-irix4' which worked fine for gcc-2.3.3.
  17.     
  18.     It complains that GDB can't read core files on this machine.
  19.     I only have 16M RAM here, and it runs out of memory running the
  20.     executable under gdb - so I need to read corefiles.
  21.     
  22.     I might accept that if the executable had been created using SGI cc, but
  23.     this is something created with gcc 2.3.3.
  24.     
  25.     The same happened with GDB 4.3, which is why I upgraded.
  26.     
  27.     Is there something I am missing here ?
  28.     Do I need different libraries ?
