  17. I had 1.1 myself, and FGS sent me an update notice, and I dowmloaded the 
  18. 1.13 upgrade from their BBS. All they updated in the 1.13 version was the 
  19. TSR, and scanner.

  27. I have both the commercial, and share ware versions of Integrity Master 
  28. 5.0, and I found the Integrity checking to be pretty good. I would like it 
  29. better if Victor Charlie stored the database of CRCs on a rescue diskette.

  31. Personally; I like Integrity Master better than the integrity checking in 
  32. Untouchable for the following reasons.

  34. 1. IM creates two CRCs per file
  35. 2. integrity Master creates can create CRCs for all files instead of just 
  36.    the subset of executable files.

  38. Granted Integrity Master can be improved. In fact I'm trying to talk 
  39. Wolfgang into updating the scanner in IM to detect boot sector droppers.

  41. Untouchable doesn't detect droppers either, and I consider them to be a 
  42. fairly large security hole.

  44. Prevention is always the best policy.
