If you only need 4 or 8 ports, an AST clone card, with 16550 UARTS
will do in many cases, using the FAS free driver. Beyond 8 you start
looking a smart cards. We've been using Corrolary, as I recall, and for
the application price was not a factor so they may not be the cheapest.
SCO Mag or UNIX World had a review of serial cards a few months ago.
Is this in the PC-UNIX hardware info list?
