  17. People always act so suprised and then run off to their computer and
  18. immediately post to Usenet when something like this happens, when they
  19. _should_ run to the Installation Guide or Release Notes, which
  20. explains exactly this problem.

  22. Yes, the Motif subsets are installed on top of the DECwindows subsets,
  23. since they contain "Motif-ized" replacements for the DECwindows
  24. programs.  This is explained on page 1-3 of the Release Notes (in
  25. section 1.1.5, "Subsets and Reinstallation").

  27. Actually reading these notes is left as an exercise for the reader.
