  14.   I'm running Ultrix 4.3 on a Personal DECstation 5000/25. In doing
  15. so, even when everything is "idle", there is a load average above
  16. 1.00.  For example, if I run top and let all my other processes idle,
  17. it shows top as the "top" consumer, but it shows the load average
  18. between 1.15 and 1.5.  Why is this?

  20.   Speaking of top, why is it that when you ask top to display idle
  21. processes, it says something bogus like 
  22.  
  23. 281 processes: 57 sleeping, 2 running, 221 starting, 1 stopped
  24.
