- Hi,
-
- I have a fax modem connected to the serial line of a 5000/120, we are
- having enormous problems with data corruption, most likely caused by data
- overrun (a lack of hand-shaking between modem and DEC.)
-
- I am not totally sure what of the DEC control lines work and what do not in the 5000
- serial port, ^S/^Q flow control is not really possible given the 8-bit
- nature of Fax data, umm Anyone had similar annoyances, and better yet
- found a solution ?
-
- The Fax modem is currently connected to the DEC with a piece of ribbon
- cable (which I would have thought to have given the best possible
- chance of success) The Fax modem unit works fine data loss to the DEC
- seems to be the problem.
-
- Mail me and I will summerise back to the net.
-
- Andrew.
