- real mem - the total of all memory in the system box,

- avail mem - whats left of real after the kernel takes it's share

- The "using NNN buffers" information provide information about
- the kernel buffer cache, normally it's 10% of real. If someone
- has added "bufcache NN%" to the config file, the number of bytes
- used by the kernel will increase, the memory available to your
- programs will decrease.
