- I did something similar to this when we upgraded a group of systems from
- 4.2 to 4.2a. What I did was to install 4.2a on the server (updates both
- root and /usr). I used the information in the /usr/etc/*425.inv files
- to make a tar saveset of what had changed in the root area and restored
- that file to each of the clients. Finally, I built a new kernel for the
- clients and rebooted them.
