- Is the System V Rel 4 lpnet network printing support
- supposed to be compatible with older BSD type systems
- based on lpr/lpd ?
-
- In particular how do I set up a System V rel 4 Unix
- system to support non-unix clients using lpr & lpd
- to submit print jobs to the new Unix systems.
-
- I have notes on setting this up on Solaris but then
- Sun can be expected to include this as an extra since
- previous versions of SunOS used the BSD system. These
- notes are not generic enough to cover an NCR ATT Unix
- system used at another site.
-
- How many of you have integrated non-unix clients and
- a SYSV Rel 4 server and how did you do this?
-
-
- Thanks for any replies. e-mail me and I shall post
- the outcome.
