- I have Bell Tech UNIX Sys V/386 R3.2 (same as AT&T)
- running on a Bell Tech 386.
- The machine is set up in a two-headed configuration
- (Hercules and Bell Tech Blit) and runs Bell Tech X10R4
- on the Blit.
- This version of Bell Tech X is not supposed to support
- hot-keying between the Hercules and the Blit and vice versa.
-
- I mention all of the above because it may have something
- to do with the following problem:
-
- Whenever there's a kernel panic (which only happens when
- I'm running X on the Blit), I hot-key back to the console
- (vt00) on the Hercules. Once I've done this, I see the
- normal kdb display and command prompt, but the keyboard
- isn't working.
-
- I don't know whether the keyboard isn't working because
- of the (illegal) way I got back to the Hercules or
- because there's something wrong with kdb.
-
- Can anyone vouch for kdb on AT&T Sys V/386 R3.2?
-
- Is there some way to force entry into kdb from the keyboard,
- so that I can see if kdb works when I'm on the Hercules to
- begin with and X isn't running?
-
- Thanks!
