- I am new to UNIX, but an old VMS user.
-
- In VMS there is a way to set you default directory to a remote machine. So I
- could look at files I have in a directory on another machine. Or if the
- protection will allow me I can look at the files in someone else's directory on
- another machine.
-
- Is there something similar in UNIX? I am lead to believe is since when you
- finger someone in UNIX you get the default directory information with
- everything else.
-
- I have looked in the online help with no success. Any help would be
- appreciated. Thanks.
