- My 2cts:
- I'm using vi because it's the full-screen version of ed(1) _and_ it's
- available on just about any UNIX system.
-
- I'm using UNIX for about 15 years now. I started with Version 5 on a PDP 11/45
- with DecWriters/Beehives. We used ed then and I've learnt to
- appreciate regular expressions.
- Vi uses the very same commands as ed, yet it's a full-screen editor.
-
- Besides, I have two UNIX boxes at home, one running SysV, one running
- 4.2bsd. Both have vi!
-
- Last but not least, it's a "no frill's" editor: no fancy menues, no
- border lines, no tab replacement. Just in the style of UNIX.

- You're welcome!
