  12. I have an Compaq 386 which i would like to see 386bsd running.
  13. Booting from the (new, patches applied) floppy disk works,
  14. but after install has completed the machine pops out the
  15. following message during the boot off the hard drive :

  17. wd0: error in bad sector file
  18.  
  19. shortly after (messages about probed devices appear) the machine reboots
  20. with a message which disappears much to fast to be read.
  21.  
  22. Is the compaq the problem or the corrupted bad sector table ?
  23.  
  24. Any hints appreciated.
