- I'm trying to upgrade two old serial cards by adding 16550's to the
- spare sockets on them. However I cannot find manuals for either cards
- and was hoping some kind soul out there could tell me about the jumper
- settings and pin outs.
-
- The first is an Everex AT XT Multi I/O half-card. It has 2 serial, games
- and parallel. The second serial port needs 3 chips inserted into
- sockets. There is a strip of 9 jumpers towards the bottom left of the
- card. Could anyone tell me what these jumpers do. I'd like to know
- what to un/set to enable the second serial port. (Serial interfaces are
- handled by 2x5 pin strips labeled ASYN1, ASYN2.)
-
- The second half-card is a much older card no-name. It has just 2
- serial. The second serial again requires three chips inserted into
- sockets. On this card the jumpers are well labeled but the second
- serial is handled by a 1x10 pin strip. I'd like to know the pinout
- details for the 10 ping strip.
-
- Thanks in advance
