  14. I am just installing BSD386 on a (rather weak) 386SX. All has gone
  15. fine so far, including networking services such as telnet, rsh and
  16. the like, and nfs-mounting remote file systems. The problem arises
  17. when I try to make the machine an NFS server. It runs portmap with
  18. no problem (apparent at least), but when it gets to mountd, it never
  19. relinquishes control, and it just hangs on, and on, and on ...
  20. until I <control>C it. If I mountd &, it just keeps running forever,
  21. and I cannot mount remotely from other machines,which complain that
  22. RPC:program not registered ...
  23.  
  24. I am clueless, any hints on where to start fixing this?
