  13. regardless of whether or not you're using Julian's boot blocks 
  14. (which are wonderful!) you'll still have some problems with using
  15. a kernel not named "386bsd" because a lot of things depend
  16. on this being the kernel name...
  17.  
  18. your shellscript idea is probably the best, for your needs...
  19. (but use Julian's bootblocks, too...  they've saved my butt once or
  20. twice, and left me with as running system when /386bsd got hosed
  21. for some reason or another...)
