  14.   Hi.  Thanks to all who replied to me with mail about how to get slip working
  15. it seems to be working great!  I think that somehow I messed up one of the
  16. files that the command 'w' uses or something, but am unsure.  It always gets
  17. an error returning 'can't get namelist.'  Any ideas?  Also, I noticed that the
  18. finger daemon is not part of the standard setup and does not run on my machine.
  19. Could someone point me on how to get that working?  I found a file called
  20. 'fingerd' in /usr/obj.... somewhere...but was unsure if that was it since it
  21. doesn't seem to be set executable.  My local mail seems to work fine, but I
  22. can't mail to a remote system, and for my last question, why would gcc 2.3.3
  23. respond to a compile attempt saying it did not recognize a '-lang-c' flag?
