- I own a Quadra 950 with an Apple 16" display. When I first installed it
- (without A/UX) I read in the documentation that this Mac need a
- extension named "950 Colour Addition" for some problems with some
- applications. In the Quadra packing I didn't found the diskette with
- that file and I used the Quadra all the same. It worked fine with only
- a small (?) problem: sometimes the display lose the synchronisation and
- all on the screen start to run diagonally and very fast through the
- monitor. To stop all without rebooting I can press the interrupt button
- to get into Macsbug (the video card regain the synchronisation) and
- after I type 'go' to return back to the running application. Some weeks
- after I got the "950 Colour Addition" extension and I never experienced
- again this problem.
- Now I installed A/UX 3.0. All works fine but the display loses
- again the synchronisation. I tried to install the "950 Colour Addition"
- but with A/UX it doesn't work.
- Now I don't understand if this is an hardware problem of my Quadra or a
- software problem. Do anybody known something about this?
-
- Thanks. Carlo.
