- NCSA Telnet 2.5 (MacTCP configuration) frequently crashes our A/UX
- 3.0 machine (the unix, not just the MacOS process), so that the
- machine has to be powered off and on to restart it. This occurs
- even when it is used by the Guest account. The machine also runs a
- bootp process, and does light-duty work as a secondary nameserver.
- No one is doing any other unix or Mac computing with it at the
- moment. Everything has been stable until Telnet use began recently.
- Any ideas of a fix? I have had to pull the machine from general
- access since the bootp process is mission critical, and have since
- done a careful clean re-installation of A/UX but the problem
- persists. MacIIfx, 16 meg RAM, 205 meg hard disk, Apple Ethernet
- card.
