- My CD300 external unit arrived yesterday, so I am looking forward to installing
- A/UX 3.0 on my IIcx this weekend. The IIcx has 20MB of RAM, (1) internal
- Maxtor 120MB drive running System 7.1, and an external Maxtor200MB drive which
- I intend to dedicate to A/UX. I'd like to configure it so that the machine
- boots System 7.1, and only makes the jump to A/UX when I want it to. I
- expect the machine to be in A/UX mode only about 25% of the time.
-
- Can anyone provide advice on configuration, partitioning, etc? It will not be
- accessed through a network, as it will be a standalone machine in my house.
- Generally, is there any tips that would be useful before the first install?
- I know SunOS 4.1.X but nothing more about A/UX beyond the Essentials
- manuals.
-
- Additionally, is there a set of recommended third party software that I should
- go on 'the hunt' for? I won't need mailers, etc., unless they work over a modem.
