- Fellow Aix'ers,
- I need to replace a couple of disk drives, and these dirves
- constitute a VG called othervg.
- What utilities Do I use to do the following.
-
- 1. Back up entire othervg (Including any unmounted lvs).
-
- 2. Physically replace the disks.
-
- 3. Restore othervg on new disks.
-
- I tried mksysb, but it only backs up the rootvg. Do I have to backup each
- file system on othervg and then restore it? In this case what about
- unmounted lvs? Is there a utility that would dump an entire VG to tape,
- and then restore from the tape?
-
- Any and all help appreciated.
-
- Raj.
