- We're having some problems with multiple nameserver entries in
- /etc/resolv.conf. If the first nameserver is down, machine performance
- decreases dramatically. Every command waits about seven seconds for
- a timeout before switching to the second nameserver.
- Is there a way to make the switching to the next entry permanent (for
- at least some minutes) since if a nameserver is down it will
- usually take a couple of time for it to become available again.
-
- Any help is appreciated,
-
- -Andreas
