- I am having a problem converting a GDF file to HPGL. What I want
- to do is to convert the file and store it as a file and then send
- it to a plotter by either "enq"ing it or by "cat"ing it to the
- printer (I need to do this because I am sending it to a print
- server device that is a station on the network).
-
- I have been able to get the file to print properly by sending it
- to the serial port (tty1), but as mentioned above, I need to be
- able to send it to a station on the net. If I use cpsI1 with the
- first option of -tty1 and all the other options, it dumps the file
- as it is converting it to the serial port. However, if I use the
- option -tty1 -nopl (which saves it to a file) and all the other
- options that I used above, the output that I get is garbage (this
- is by either enq or cat to the serial port). I am trying to get
- this to work using tty1 right now so that I am sure that the print
- server device is not causing any problems.
-
- So, basically the problem is that the -nopl option is not giving
- me the results that I am expecting. I am assuming that if the
- file is run through the converter with the -nopl option that the
- file that is created is in a format that can be sent directly to
- the plotter.
-
- Does anyone have any experience with this or can anyone offer any
- suggestions? I am running 3.1.7. Could this be a problem? We ar
- e upgrading in a few months.
-
- Thanks in advance for the help!!!!!
