  12. I am using an Interleaf product called WorldView on an IBM RS/6000
  13. model 560.  WorldView is a tool that views PrinterLeaf files which
  14. are in an Interleaf page description language.  When printing, the
  15. Worldview tool must convert the PrinterLeaf to Postscript, but it
  16. only knows how to do this for an AppleLaserwriter or HP LaserJet.

  18. I need to print to a DEC LPS-40 printer.  WorldView does allow you
  19. to configure the printing to use Interleaf for converting to
  20. Postscript, allowing me to properly create a postscript for the
  21. LPS-40.  In order for Interleaf to do this, it must modify the
  22. print queue to perform what they call "double spooling."  The
  23. problem is that the LPS-40 queue is a remote (LPD) queue and
  24. Interleaf cannot properly modify it.

  26. QUESTION:

  28. Is there a way to define a LOCAL print queue on the RS/6000 that
  29. sends it's output to a remote queue on the same host?  This
  30. remote queue would then send it's output to the remote host.

  43. Interleaf has not been much help with this problem, and IBM is
  44. looking into it.  If anyone has any ideas or solutions, PLEASE
  45. send them to the mail address below.

  49. One other small question:  Is there a way to do ANY KIND of
  50. accounting on remote print queues?  This may be a FAQ but I
  51. did not see it in the list.
