- While looking for dirt in the root directory this evening, I came
- across the file "/etc/vg/lvdd_kmid". Anybody know why it exists and,
- more importantly, why it's world writable? I strongly suspect it
- exists because I've been adding & deleting & changing the sizes of some
- logical volumes lately, but I'm wondering why this speck of
- world-writable dirt got left behind? Can I delete it? Can I chmod
- it to 664?
-
- Also, on a related note (this little treasure hunt throught the root
- directory got started because it got accidentally filled), has anyone
- else noticed that a simple "odmget" of a database to print out its
- contents will update the modified time if it's invoked as root? This
- seems rather strange.
