- The paper "Torture-testing Backup and Archive Programs: Things You Ought To
- Know But Probably Would Rather Not" by Elizabeth Zwicky in the Usenix
- LISA V proceedings (and the associated test program that is availible via
- ftp, but whose name I forget) should make interesting reading. Dump didn't
- do as well as was expected (or hoped) when some types of filesystem changes
- were made while it was running. Interesting (and scary if you don't have a
- mirrored backup system) reading.
