- Does anyone know what is happening at XyQuest (manufacturers of
- XyWrite)?
-
- I had a mailing from them yesterday advertising an upgrade to
- XyWrite 4. One thing I noticed was that they had moved to Baltimore and
- were described as "The XyQuest Division of The Technology Group Inc.".
-
- The thing that puzzled me more was XyWrite 4. Less than a year ago,
- they were launching a new wordprocessor called Signature, which I
- understood from their publicity was set to replace XyWrite and IBM's
- Displaywrite. This publicity seemed to be encouraging XyWrite users to
- switch to this new product. My assumption was that XyWrite would no
- longer be upgraded, and that Signature would replace it. But yesterday
- along came a XyWrite 4 mailing. However, many of the features look to
- be almost the same as those advertised for Signature.
-
- What is going on?
