- I bought a Z-286 LP a couple of years ago w/ a Z-549 video card and a
- ZCM-1490 flat screen monitor. I would like to know if there is
- anything I can do to upgrade this system. I'd like to go to a 386.
-
- Are there any motherboard replacements possible for this model? Any
- other options?
-
- I like the monitor very much, but I've noticed an occasional flicker
- that can get quite annoying at times. I've seen some brief mentions on
- this group of a problem with the original (either Z549 card or the
- ZCM-1490 monitor). Is there anything I can do about that flickering?
-
- If so, then I suppose another option would be to simply buy another
- computer w/out a monitor and just use the one I have now. Will other
- video cards work with that monitor?
-
- Thanks,
-
