  37. I do now that when the 1000 SL was selling there was a harddisk
  38. sold for the 1000's that already had controller boards built on to 
  39. them. The 1000 SL did not originally come with a hard disk controller
  40. so if you want to use your 40 meg IDE you will have to purchase
  41. an IDE controller. Radio Shack sold an IDE controller card sometime ago.
  42. I think they are discontinued now but you still might want to check
  43. your local Radio Shack to see if they have one hanging aroung. The
  44. catalog number is 25-1088. They retail for about $49.95. Good Luck.
