- I do now that when the 1000 SL was selling there was a harddisk
- sold for the 1000's that already had controller boards built on to
- them. The 1000 SL did not originally come with a hard disk controller
- so if you want to use your 40 meg IDE you will have to purchase
- an IDE controller. Radio Shack sold an IDE controller card sometime ago.
- I think they are discontinued now but you still might want to check
- your local Radio Shack to see if they have one hanging aroung. The
- catalog number is 25-1088. They retail for about $49.95. Good Luck.
