  10. You all are not going to believe this but someone I know is still operating
  11. there company on a old Tandy Model II.  I rember back in 1979 when he bought
  12. it.  It must be the fact the he paid $4500 for the 8.5meg hard drive disk unit
  13. , this is why he is still using the system.  I can think of no other reason.
  14.     Well,  his hard disk crashed the other day.  We tried to recover the
  15. data, but I have no utilities for the trsdos.  Nor, do I have much knowledge of
  16. how Radio Shack Machine work or save data.  I know that during there time these
  17. machine were considerally popular.  This means that there must be some software
  18. library out there somewhere.  I know that the chance of finding some 
  19. kind of data recovery utilities is about as good as winning lotto America.  
  20. But I had a extrabuck laying around and thought that I would take a chance.

  22.     The information that I have on the system is this.  It is a model II.
  23. with TRSDOS II Version 4.1.  The hard drive is a 8 meg drive and there are also
  24. a 3 bay disk unit.  The error that is occuring on the hard drive is error 4 CRC
  25. error during disk i/o operation.

  27.     If I don't here from someone, I guess that we will just make it giant
  28. paper weight.  I would leave my internet address, but I don't know how much
  29. longer this account will be active.  I will just keep checking back in this
  30. news group.
