  16. I love to tinker with my Tandy model 100 portable computer, but I'm
  17. going to grad school soon and will not have the space to move my
  18. system or time to use it.  Therefore, I'm going to sell/trade it for
  19. what I can.  Anyway, here's my system:

  21. Tandy model 100 portable computer
  22.     - 2.5 Mhz 80C85 processor
  23.     - 32K RAM  32K ROM
  24.     - 40 char X 8 line display
  25.     - Built in BASIC, and address, text editor, terminal programs.
  26.     - Parallel printer port (with cable)
  27.     - RS232 port (DB25 pins)
  28.     - Cassette interface (with cable)
  29.     - Built in 300 baud modem (with cable)
  30.     - Bar code reader interface
  31.     - runs about 15-20 hours on 4AA batteries
  32.           - AC adapter & fake leather case included
  33.  
  34. Peripherals & accessories
  35.     - 3.5in portable floppy drive (uses 4 AA's, AC adapter
  36.       included) stores about 100K per disk.
  37.     - Tandy DVI Disk video interface (2 5.25in drives and video
  38.       output) Includes interface cable. Stores about 150K per
  39.          disk.
  40.     - Owner's manual and technical reference manual.

  42. Software
  43.     - Interactive solutions Database/Spreadsheet/Word Processor
  44.       software on installed ROM cartridge. (with manual)
  45.     - Spectaculator (another spreadsheet) on cassette.
  46.     - StarBlazer 100 game (like arcade game Defender) on cassette.
  47.     - about 700K of PD software on DOS disk (the entire archive of
  48.        software from ftp.eos.ncsu.edu)

  50. It should be noted that the only problem with this system is that
  51. occasionally the model 100 LCD display goes blank if the contrast is
  52. turned up too high.  I think that the contrast potentiometer is dirty.
  53. Otherwise, everything is in excellent shape and clean.

  55. What I'm really looking for is a high speed modem/money in exchange
  56. for my The modem would hopefully be at least 9600 baud (v.32) but
  57. Ideally would be 14400 baud (v.32bis).  The V.42, V.42bis, and lower
  58. speed standards would obviously be supported too.  If you're even
  59. mildly interested in this system, send me E-mail or give me a call.
  60. Whether you'd like to buy some/all of this system or have something to
  61. trade--let's make a deal--this is VERY negotiable.
