  24. The second answer is correct but may not answer your question completely.
  25. Basically, there are four SuperSparc 690 systems available:

  27. 690-30, one processor, can run SunOS 4.1.3
  28. 690-41, one processor, can run SunOS 4.1.3
  29. 690-52, two processors, can run SunOS 5.1 (in Solaris 2.1)
  30. 690-54, four processors, can run SunOS 5.1 (in Solaris 2.1)

  32. Note that SuperSparc support was introduced in 4.1.3...which is very
  33. little different from 4.1.2 (bug fixes and support for some new
  34. systems).

  36. But your "upgrade to SuperSparc" is probably one of the latter two so
  37. you'll probably need to run Solaris 2.1 to use it.
