- Howdy.
-
- Recently I was given the task of installing a program called MINOS onto
- out Sun system (690 running SunOS 4.1.3). The software consists of a
- series of FORTRAN files which you have to compile and assemble into one
- executable. Everything seemed to be going fine when suddenly...
-
- Having gotten the final executable, I attempted to run it and got a
- segmentation fault. There are two input files which should be in the
- current working directory when the program is run. The unit numbers in the
- open statement for the files are 4 and 7 respectively.
-
- If anyone has any comment regarding this problem, I would appreciate
- hearing from you.

- P.S. Apologies for the scarcity of infomation. When it come to FORTRAN, I
- am out of my element. Also, the program's doucmentation does not have
- anything to say regarding installing this system on a Sun. VAX, IBMPC, and
- Macintosh are all addressed. but not Sun. ****sigh****
-
- P.P.S. One final thought, the program was written and obtained from
- Stanford's Department of Operations Research. They, however have turned
- the maintainence over to a private consulting firm which is not quite up
- to speed yet.
