  15. I am having trouble -NXHost'ing an application from a client machine that is
  16. connected to my network via slip.  (Yeah, I've heard it's really slow and
  17. not worth the trouble; but I enjoy pain!)

  19. I have Louis A. Mamakos' slip.  And the two machine that are connected are
  20. both running 3.0 (one is a cube, the other a nextstation turbo).  When I 
  21. start any application with the -NXHost option, e.g.

  23.   /NextApps/Terminal.app/Terminal -NXHost slipserver &
  24.  
  25. I get the following familiar message:

  27.   DPS client library error: Could not form connection, host slipserver
  28.  
  29. I have set the preferences (on slipserver) to be a public window server
  30. and I have logged out and back in since changing the prefs.  I must be missing
  31. something really obvious.  Has anyone ever tried to do this before?  Any help
  32. is greatly appreciated.
