  15. We have an external A/D SCSI device connected to our cube.
  16. Every time a user logs in, they get an alert panel saying:
  17. "unreadable SCSI device: Initialize? or Ignore?".

  19. Under NeXTStep 2.1, we had disabled this with an entry in 
  20. fstab of the form:
  21. /dev/sd2a "/Untitled" ignore noauto,rw,noquota 1 2
  22.  
  23. which seemed to work just fine.

  25. Now that we upgraded to 3.0, that solution seems no longer
  26. to be adequate. Any ideas out there on how we could get the NeXT
  27. to stop asking us about that device every time we log in?
